Community Intelligence Weekly #3

Welcome to Community Intelligence Weekly, your weekly briefing on the conversations, trends and research shaping how brands understand online communities.

Each week I’ll share:

• New Community Intelligence research from The Redditrepreneur

• The biggest shifts happening across Reddit, AI search and online communities

• Original frameworks and observations

• What I’m watching next

Let’s dive in.

This Past Week At The Redditrepreneur

This has been one of the biggest weeks yet.

The Redditrepreneur continues to evolve from a Reddit consultancy into a Community Intelligence company, with several new pieces of original research published alongside continued improvements to the Community Intelligence SaaS.

One particularly exciting milestone was the launch of The Redditrepreneur on Product Hunt, introducing the platform to a wider audience of founders, marketers and product teams. Launching on Product Hunt is another step towards building awareness around Community Intelligence as a business discipline and gathering feedback from early adopters.

New Research

The Death of Social Listening? Why Brands Are Switching to Community Intelligence

Traditional social listening tells brands what people are saying.

Community Intelligence helps explain why those conversations matter.

This article explores why brands need to move beyond monitoring mentions and begin understanding the patterns, consensus and behaviours shaping customer decisions.

The 2026 B2B SaaS Community Intelligence Benchmarks

One of the first benchmark reports published by The Redditrepreneur.

The report introduces the concept of Share of Consensus, exploring which SaaS companies consistently earn recommendations inside communities and why that matters more than simply generating awareness.

The Community Intelligence Scorecard

How do you actually measure Community Intelligence?

This article introduces a practical framework for evaluating brands across five dimensions:

• Community Presence

• Community Trust

• Share of Consensus

• Insight Responsiveness

• Community Authority

Community Intelligence Scorecard: Gymshark

The first real world application of the scorecard.

Gymshark achieved an overall score of 91/100, demonstrating how years of investing in community trust can translate into lasting brand authority.

Community Intelligence Insights

Communities Are Becoming The New Search Layer

Increasingly, buying decisions begin inside communities rather than search engines.

Customers don’t just search for answers.

They search for experiences.

That means discussions on Reddit, YouTube, forums and review platforms are becoming increasingly valuable sources of intelligence for brands.

Community Trust Is Becoming A Competitive Advantage

One recurring pattern across the research this week is that the strongest brands are rarely the loudest.

They’re the brands communities consistently recommend without being prompted.

That difference matters.

Marketing creates awareness.

Communities create trust.

Original Frameworks Are Becoming Strategic Assets

This week also reinforced something I’ve been thinking about for a while.

The future won’t belong to companies that simply collect data.

It will belong to companies that help people interpret it.

That’s why frameworks like Share of Consensus, Expectation Gravity and the Community Intelligence Scorecard are becoming central to The Redditrepreneur.

What I’m Watching

How AI generated answers continue to reference discussions from online communities.

Reddit

How Reddit continues expanding Community Intelligence features and improving discovery across conversations.

Community Commerce

The increasing role communities play in influencing purchasing decisions long before customers ever visit a brand’s website.

Benchmark Research

How brands begin measuring Community Intelligence rather than relying solely on engagement metrics.
